Meg Ryan, known for her iconic roles in '90s rom-coms, is making a Hollywood comeback in the new film 'What Happens Later' alongside David Duchovny.

In a recent interview, Ryan admitted that she doesn't believe she was a good fit for the spotlight and didn't consider herself a good celebrity.

Reflecting on her eight-year hiatus from acting, Ryan explained that being in the bubble of fame was limiting for her as an artist and creative person.

During her break, Ryan chose to focus on her family, raising her son Jack and adopting her daughter Daisy.

Having spent time outside the bubble of Hollywood fame, Ryan brings a fresh perspective to her craft in 'What Happens Later.'

The actress is grateful for her charmed life and positive experiences with fans, but she decided to move out of Los Angeles to change things up.

Apart from her acting role, Ryan also directed the film and co-wrote the screenplay.

In 'What Happens Later,' Ryan and Duchovny play ex-lovers who reunite after decades and navigate the challenges of their past and shared dreams.

Ryan's career took off with roles in soap opera 'As the World Turns' and the film 'Top Gun,' and she became known as the queen of '90s rom-coms.

Her return to the romantic comedy genre in 'What Happens Later' marks a significant milestone for her.
