The legendary 'Goddess of Pop' Cher has made a surprising admission about her own voice, expressing her dissatisfaction with its distinctiveness.

In a recent interview with Paper Magazine, the 77-year-old 'Believe' singer spoke candidly about her singing voice, describing it as 'weird' and not fitting the typical categories of a man or a woman.

Cher confessed, 'I just never liked my voice that much. If I had my choice, I probably would have another one, but I didn't get my choice. I got my mother's voice.'

Despite her reservations, fans across the globe have fallen in love with Cher's iconic voice, recognizing it from her hit songs such as 'I Got You Babe,' 'If I Could Turn Back Time,' and 'Strong Enough.'

However, Cher went on to outline specific aspects of her voice that she finds unappealing. She revealed, 'I don't pronounce my Rs. I guess some consonants are hard to sing. I never liked it very much. I mean, people seem to like it, and I'm happy as a clam, but I wouldn't have picked it.'

Although Cher has achieved unparalleled success in her career, selling millions of albums and earning numerous accolades, she revealed that not all of her albums have received the recognition she expected.

Reflecting on her extensive discography, she said, 'I've made so many albums, and some of the ones I thought were as good as I could like an album of mine weren't hits. And then other ones that I was not that excited about [were]. So, I like this album. I'm not a Cher fan, but I like doing it.'

In addition to her musical endeavors, Cher has also made headlines recently for her romantic life. She is currently dating 37-year-old music executive Alexander 'A.E.' Edwards from Universal Music Group.

Cher even collaborated with Edwards on her new Christmas album, 'Christmas,' where he produced the track 'Drop Top Sleigh.' Cher spoke highly of Edwards, stating, 'He's a great producer. I let him do 'Drop Top Sleigh.' That's a hard thing to do when you are in love with someone, and then you say, 'OK, here, take this record and do what you want with it.' But I had faith. And I was so thrilled.'

As Cher continues to captivate audiences with her unique voice and musical artistry, she remains a living legend in the music industry, evoking admiration and awe from fans around the world.
