Alice Cooper revealed this week that debates about touring with his Hollywood Vampires bandmate Johnny Depp after Amber Heard, Depp's ex-wife, leveled domestic abuse allegations did not arise.

During an interview published Friday, Cooper shared with Vulture that if one consulted Depp about the issue, he would maintain that it was merely an incident that occurred and he had moved on.

Ironically, the widely televised trial scarcely surfaced while they were on tour because, according to Cooper, 'nobody cared.'

Cooper pointed out that he hadn't watched a moment of the trials, saying it was blown out of proportion, distilling it to a quintessentially 'Hollywood thing'.

Combining stalwart conviction and foresight, Cooper expressed he 'knew' Depp would emerge victorious because rare are those who have their other exes rallying behind them in such times, an unprecedented occurrence that proved itself in this case.

Cooper also asserted his faith in Depp's resilience stating that the actor would weather the storm and when on stage he's simply their guitar player.

The high-octane, attention-drawing trial saw Heard initially ordered to pay a staggering $10.35 million in damages to Depp. However, Heard herself managed to secure $2 million in compensatory damages following a countersuit.

Testifying in his favor at the trial were Depp’s former model girlfriend Kate Moss and both Wynona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis giving statements of defense on his behalf in a separate libel case that emerged in 2020.

In a tone laced with sardonic humor, Cooper quipped, 'They should do a remake of War of the Roses with Johnny and Amber.' Adding to the proposed film's allure, he suggested featuring their lawyers as Angie and Brad in the movie.

Established by Cooper and Depp in 2012, The Hollywood Vampires also counts Aerosmith's Joe Perry among its members.
