A Christian-Israeli living near the Lebanon border has evacuated his family, citing his belief that Hezbollah poses a greater threat than Hamas.

Shadi Khaloul, a major in the Israeli Defense Forces' reserves, made the decision as cross-border fire escalated tensions between Israel and Lebanon.

Khaloul explained that his experience as a paratrooper and his knowledge of Hezbollah's involvement in the Syrian civil war convinced him of their greater danger.

Hezbollah, an Iran-backed terrorist group in Lebanon, is known to possess a significant arsenal of rockets and military equipment.

Khaloul expressed concern for the safety of Lebanese Christians, recognizing that they could get caught in the crossfire if Hezbollah starts a war with Israel.

With his family now safe in Europe, Khaloul remains in Israel to defend his home, community, and the country.

He emphasized that Israel will win the ongoing conflict, but expressed sadness for the Lebanese people who may suffer due to the actions of Hezbollah.
