Tragic Bus Wreck Claims Lives of Driver and Teenage Girl

A devastating bus accident near Liverpool has left a community in shock and mourning.

On Friday, a bus carrying schoolchildren from Calday Grange Grammar School and West Kirby Grammar School overturned on a highway, resulting in the tragic deaths of the bus driver and a 14-year-old girl.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after the incident was reported shortly after 8 a.m., causing traffic on the M53 highway to come to a standstill.

The severity of the crash is evident, with two other individuals from the bus sustaining serious injuries and receiving urgent medical attention at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.

Additional students were taken to surrounding hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.

A total of 50 children were transported to a casualty clearing center, where most were able to be discharged after receiving initial medical evaluations.

However, some students required further medical attention and were admitted to hospitals for ongoing treatment.
